Tennessee native and Georgia resident from birth, Henry Ransom produces elegant luminous paintings known for extraordinary attention to detail, elegant composition, and rich content. An Abstract Realist artist, Ransom obtained his B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees from the University of Georgia. more

Amazing Grace: Works from the Permanent Collection

MMoFA is blessed with a fine collection of orignal art spanning centuries of art history, thanks to generous art donors around the world. A stroll through the galleries will reveal endearing works of art at every turn featuring American and European masters including Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, James Whistler, and Salvador Dali. The Museum also displays African stone sculptures by the founding fathers of the Shona movement in Zimbabwe and select works by regional artists.
